Etiquette & Social Grace
In a fun and fostering environment, your child will learn age-appropriate social skills to help them navigate various social settings in today's world. Topics include:
• Making new friends
• Greetings, eye contact & proper handshakes
• The importance of “excuse me” “please” & “thank you”
• Positive attitudes
• Good body language
• Conversation skills & tactful use of words
• Showing kindness
• Telephone safety & manners
• How to give and receive compliments
Dining & Table Manners
Good and proper table manners are fundamental to being a well-groomed and poised individual. Learning table manners from a young age is the best way to empower your child in facing today's competitive environment. Topics to be covered include:
• Restaurant Behavior
• How to set a table properly
• How to use utensils properly
• How to dine properly
• Eating with your mouth closed
• Breaking bread rules
• Napkin rules
• What not to bring to the table
• Learning to say “no, thank you” vs. “I don’t like this”
• Excusing yourself from the table
• Cleaning up after yourself
• The importance of thanking the host
• How to give and receive compliments
Social Dancing & Personal Skills
Professional cotillion instructions with over 20 years of experience will teach young children various ballroom, popular and current dance steps, including Fox Trot, Waltz, Cha Cha, Tango, Swing, Rock and Hip Hop. In a dance party setting, your child will learn and practice these important personal skills:
• Party do’s & don’ts
• How to be a great host & guest
• The importance of being thoughtful
• Making sincere apologies
• Good Sportsmanship
• How to handle a bully
• Giving and receiving gifts
• How to write a proper thank you note
